Privacy policy

Short and to the point: what the site knows about you, why, and how to control it.

Who is responsible for your data

www.rycrentals.com is run by Nikolai Shilin, a private individual in Georgia. He decides what data is collected and why, and is responsible for it.

For any question about your data, write to nikolai.shilin.ryc@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Your email — so you can sign in: the sign-in link is sent there.
  • Subscriptions and their criteria (country, dates, boat type, cabins) and saved boats — to send you new deals and keep your choices.
  • Questions and requests to the manager — the text, the boat and how to reach you. With a request we also keep where you came to the site from and the page you started on, so we can see which links and posts work.
  • A shortlist (/quote/…) the manager sent you personally: opens and clicks on boats, so the manager can see what interests you.
  • Vercel Web Analytics — anonymous page-view counts, with no cookies and nothing that identifies a person.
  • Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica — only if you agree: which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, device and approximate location. Metrica with Webvisor records actions on the page; anything typed into fields is hidden. These counters never run on account, sign-in, shortlist or shared-favourites pages, even with consent.

Cookies and browser storage

Necessary items keep the site working and need no consent. Google and Yandex cookies appear only after you agree.

Who else processes data, and where

  • Vercel — website hosting and anonymous statistics, USA.
  • Supabase — database and email sign-in, EU (Stockholm, Sweden).
  • Google — Google Analytics, USA. Only with your consent.
  • Yandex — Yandex Metrica, Russia. Only with your consent.

We don’t sell data or share it for advertising. Google’s and Yandex’s advertising features are turned off.

Legal grounds

  • Your consent — for Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • What you asked for — your account, subscriptions, saved boats, a reply to your request, a shortlist.
  • Our legitimate interest — site security and anonymous statistics without cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Account, subscriptions and saved boats — until you delete your account.
  • Requests to the manager, where you came from with them, and shortlist events — 3 years.
  • Google Analytics — 14 months. Yandex Metrica — Metrica’s default.
  • Theme, form drafts and visit labels in your browser — until the browser clears them.

Your rights

You can find out what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, get a copy in a usable format, and withdraw consent. Withdrawing doesn’t undo what happened before.

Write to nikolai.shilin.ryc@gmail.com — we reply within 30 days. If you think we’ve violated your rights, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in the EU, the one in your country; in Georgia, the Personal Data Protection Service; in Russia, Roskomnadzor.

Change your choice

Turn Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica on or off here, or with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

Version 1 of 26 October 2026. If the policy changes in substance, we’ll ask for your consent again.
